I spent almost a decade at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley where I was an Associate Professor of Political Science and Pre-Law Advisor, and where I ran UTRGV's Law School Preparation Institute, which serves as a model for the LSPP.
I have also worked at Emory University where I taught courses in law and political theory, at the University of California Santa Cruz as a Lecturer in Politics and Legal Studies, and as a debate coach at Dartmouth College, Harvard University, and Michigan State University (National Champions, 2004). I was also a policy debater in college, where I received the top speaker award at the National Debate Tournament in 2003. If you are interested, my full academic CV is available here.
Over the past two decades, I have advised students who went onto a wide range of law schools, including Yale, Harvard, NYU, Columbia, Texas, UCLA, Baylor, Texas Tech, Thurgood Marshall, Drake, Colorado, and many others.
I am excited to work with you, and to help guide as you pursue yours dreams.
(The picture is from when I visited Versailles. Will give a virtual high five to anyone who can identify the subject of the portrait)
